The 2023 Lagos State Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olajide Adediran, aka Jandor, has JOINED the country’s ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC)

Jandor announced his return on Monday during a media briefing at Liberty Place, Adeniyi Jones Street, Ikeja, Lagos, alongside his supporters.
His decision follows a recent closed-door meeting with President Bola Tinubu at Aso Rock, Abuja, where undisclosed matters were discussed.
Before meeting Tinubu, Jandor had also consulted with several political figures, including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former military President Ibrahim Babangida, former Head of State Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar, and 2023 SDP presidential candidate Adewole Adebayo.
Jandor resigned from the PDP citing indiscipline, anti-party activities, and betrayal by the party leadership on the eve of the Lagos governorship election. He also accused the PDP of misleading its supporters with false claims of an alliance that resulted in votes for another candidate.
Before joining the PDP years ago, Jandor was a key member of the APC and led the Lagos4Lagos Movement, which advocated for internal democracy within the party. His return to the APC marks a major shift in Lagos politics ahead of future elections.
