Veteran Nollywood actor and theatre arts lecturer, Patrick Okoye, has reportedly passed away.
The news of his death emerged late Thursday night, stating that he died in the early hours of 28 May 2026.
Patrick Okoye, known in Nollywood for his fatherly and elder roles in films, was also a respected lecturer in theatre arts and contributed to the growth of stage and screen acting in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
Tributes have begun pouring in from fans and colleagues across social media, as many mourn what they describe as a significant loss to Nollywood.
The cause of his death has not been disclosed.
