President Bola Tinubu has officially sworn in Olatunji Disu as the substantive Inspector-General of Police
The ceremony took place on Wednesday at the Council Chambers of the State House in Abuja. Disu took the oath of office following the reading of his citation by the State House Director of Information and Public Relations, Mr Abiodun Oladunjoye.

Vice President Kashim Shettima, cabinet members, and other dignitaries were in attendance for the swearing-in.
Following Disu’s oath, President Tinubu also administered the oath of office to newly appointed commissioners of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission and the Federal Civil Service Commission. The ceremony was held just before the start of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.
Disu was initially appointed acting IGP on February 24, following the resignation of former IGP Kayode Egbetokun, and was formally decorated with the rank of Inspector-General by President Tinubu the following day.
