South Korean actor Song Jae-lim, known for his role in ‘Moon Embracing the Sun‘, has died at the age of 39.
Seoul Seongdong Police confirmed that Song was found deceased at his home in Seoul on November 7.
His body was discovered by a friend who arrived around 12:30 p.m. for lunch, according to police.
A “two-page letter” was reportedly found at the scene, as reported by Korean outlet ‘Soompi‘.
Police stated there were “no signs of foul play,” though Song’s cause of death has not yet been determined.
In a statement to ‘Yonhap News Agency‘, Song’s family shared that they will hold a private funeral for close family in Seoul.
He is expected to be laid to rest on November 14.
Song Jae-lim first appeared in the film ‘Actresses‘ in 2009 and rose to stardom as a loyal bodyguard in the 2012 TV series ‘Moon Embracing the Sun‘.
He also appeared in the reality show ‘We Got Married’ in 2014 and starred in K-dramas such as ‘Cool Guys, Hot Ramen‘, ‘Inspiring Generations‘, ‘Two Weeks‘, ‘Secret Mother‘, and ‘Queen Woo‘.
The actor recently performed in the musical ‘La Rose De Versailles’, with his last show taking place on October 13.
