Veteran actor Kanayo O. Kanayo has called for changes in the Nigeria Police Force after spending 10 days in Ghana for a movie shoot.
The veteran actor said he noticed a difference in how police officers operate in both countries, particularly when it comes to checkpoints on the roads.
According to Kanayo, police checkpoints in Ghana are mostly placed at strategic locations, unlike Nigeria, where motorists often encounter several roadblocks along their journeys.
He believes the number of checkpoints in Nigeria, coupled with unnecessary questions from some officers, could leave visitors with a poor impression of the country.
In a post he shared, he said:
“I’m just returning from 10 days of movie shooting in Ghana, and I observed some differences between the Ghana Police and the Nigeria Police. I’m not here to compare, but the Nigeria Police needs some adjustments. I also commend IGP Disu for the reforms he has introduced so far.”
