Famous Nigerian actor Kanayo O. Kanayo has become the latest celebrity to join the viral “Gwo Gwo Ngwo” dance challenge, sparking attention on social media.
The “Gwo Gwo Ngwo” challenge, which was started by popular skit maker Brainjotter, has spread widely across Nigeria. However, it’s worth noting that Mike Ejeagha, the original creator of the song who is over 90 years old, has expressed disappointment about how his music is being used.
Kanayo O. Kanayo, also known as KOK, shared a video of himself participating in the dance challenge on Instagram. In the video, the veteran actor appears with two other content creators. He’s dressed in traditional white attire with a red cap, typical of Igbo culture.
The video shows KOK playfully arguing with one of the dancers before stepping aside to join in the dance. He enthusiastically attempts the challenge’s signature moves, smiling broadly as he lifts each leg in turn.
