The Governor of Kano state, Abdullahi Ganduje, has declared tomorrow,
Wednesday, 14th of October, a public holiday in commemoration of the
New Islamic Year 1437AH.

According to the Governor’s spokesperson, Baba Dantiye, the
governor congratulated the people of Kano and all the Muslim Umma for
witnessing the New Year. He also used the period to condole with the families
of those who lost their lives in the Hajj stampede and prayed for the quick
recovery of those that sustained injuries.
