A member of the House of Representatives, Muhammad Danjuma Hassan, who represented the Dawakin Kudu/Warawa Federal Constituency of Kano State, has d!ed at the age of 66 after a prolonged illness
His death, which reportedly occurred on Friday evening, was confirmed by House spokesperson Akin Rotimi, who described the development as a major loss to the National Assembly and the country.

According to Rotimi, the late lawmaker made notable contributions to legislative work over several decades.
“His passing is a profound loss to the House of Representatives, his constituents, and the nation at large,” he said.
Hassan was elected to the House in 2023 on the platform of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and served as Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Judiciary.
Rotimi further noted that the deceased was widely respected as a skilled legislative counsel and legal draftsman, adding that several laws enacted over the years reflected his input.
