Rap artist Kanye West has reportedly purchased a $35 million mansion in Beverly Hills, California, after transforming his previous Malibu estate into a “bomb shelter.”
The 20,000-square-foot home is located in the gated Beverly Park North neighborhood, according to a TMZ report from October 28.
The mansion features 11 bedrooms, 18 bathrooms, and sits on about seven acres of land.
It includes a resort-style pool with a waterfall, a second lap pool, a pool house, a tennis court, and an “entertainment pavilion.”
According to TMZ, West, 47, acquired the property through an LLC in an off-market deal.
This purchase comes just a month after he sold his Malibu estate for $21 million, having bought it for $57 million in 2021.
The lower sale price was likely due to West removing all the windows and electricity in an unsuccessful attempt to turn the mansion into a “bomb shelter from the 1910s.”
This project reportedly led to legal troubles with his project manager, Tony Saxon, who sued West for allegedly violating several labor codes and ignoring advice regarding the window removals.
