Kate Henshaw has advised women to go for self-defence classes to learn how to defend themselves against domestic violence and k!llings from the opposite gender
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Saturday Beats, she said, “We all just have to be careful, and to the women who are mostly the victims, I would say, we have to be careful and take self-defence classes if possible so they can protect themselves.”
She further urged all states to follow the steps taken by the Lagos State Government to eradicate s3xual and domestic violence.
She added, “I would want other states to take on the template that Lagos State has set with regards to s3xual violence. They just launched an app where you can report incidences incognito through a digital platform which is very good.
I enjoin other states to follow that template and even do better to make sure that they protect women, and of course the men too. I don’t understand what is happening in society these days. It just feels like it’s not ours any longer.”
