Kehinde Adebodu is mourning his twin brother and music partner, Taiwo “Taiye” Adegbodu, as he celebrates Easter for the first time without him
In a heartfelt message, he wrote, “I am broken, my very first Easter celebration without you Amole Mi.”
Taiwo, one half of the famous Adegbodu Twins, passed away on March 1, 2026.
The twins had been performing together for more than twenty years, creating gospel music that became popular in churches across Nigeria. Their bond extended beyond music, with Kehinde and Taiwo sharing nearly every aspect of their personal and professional lives.
According to Kehinde, Taiwo had seemed healthy and cheerful on the day of his de.ath. Late in the evening, after their usual prayers, he complained of chest pain and collapsed.
Despite attempts to get immediate medical help, Taiwo could not be revived.
