Kemi Olunloyo empathizes with actress Iyabo Ojo after a fire broke out at her office

Despite their long-standing public feud, Olunloyo urged social media users to stop mocking Iyabo and instead show compassion.
In a Facebook post, Olunloyo condemned the insensitive comments suggesting the fire was an act of “insurance fraud” or linked to the spirit of late singer Mohbad.
She went further to offer practical safety advice, recommending that Iyabo install a smoke detector when rebuilding her office and highlighting the dangers of Nigeria’s unstable power supply.
Olunloyo’s remarks have sparked mixed reactions, with many taken aback by her unexpected display of kindness towards Iyabo.
Her words of empathy and advice have been seen as a rare moment of goodwill, particularly given their tumultuous past.
She said: “Stop mocking Iyabo Ojo on TikTok by saying Mohbad’s spirit is strong or that she set the fire as insurance fr@ud to pay her debts. Have Empathy!”
“Iyabo, kindly install a smoke detector when you rebuild your office. I am imagining what would have happened if someone was sleeping in that office at the moment the fire broke. I thank God for your life. Keep praising God. Always remember to turn off all gadgets before leaving the office. Nigeria’s power failure, too, can cause it.“
