Kenya’s meteorological department warned of high rainfall, urging preparedness. In Kirinyaga county, floods washed away roads, halting transport. Recently, 51 passengers were rescued from a bus swept away by floodwaters in northern Kenya.
The situation remains dire, with communities grappling with displacement, infrastructure damage, and heightened wildlife-human conflict.
