Kenyan President William Ruto has urged an end to the ongoing protests, promising to protect the nation, life, property, and maintain peace and stability

He emphasized that democracy allows for resolving issues through peaceful means.
Despite his administration’s concessions, including rejecting the Finance Bill 2024 and dismissing most of the Cabinet, the protests have continued.
William Ruto expressed his willingness to engage in dialogue, but emphasized that the country’s interests supersede those of any group.
He vowed to put an end to the protests, stating “enough is enough” and promising to stop looting, killing, and mayhem.
