The kidnappers of Bayelsa Commissioner for Local Government,
Mrs Serefina Otazi, who was kidnapped 5 days to Christmas at gunpoint at Ogbia
Local Government area on her way to a funeral, are now demanding a sum of N40m
for her release. According to a family member, the kidnappers contacted them
and demanded the sum.

Otazi was abducted less than 24 hours after Governor Seriake
Dickson’s sister, Nancy Dickson, was kidnapped.
Mrs. Dickson has also not yet been released by her kidnappers.
