Media personality and content creator Kiekie has spoken about ongoing insecurity and the kidnapping of school children in Ogbomoso during this year’s Children’s Day celebration
In an emotional message, she spoke about the pain families face as cases of child abductions continue to rise across the country.
“It’s children’s day but the children are not here, they’re inside the k!dnapp£rs den, it’s mess!ng with my bra!n cos I’m looking at my child cos God f0rb!d she’s taken away from me”.
Meanwhile, popular Nigerian influencer and content creator Jarvis has also expressed concern over the growing number of missing and abducted children in the country.
Speaking on the emotional effect on parents, she said losing a child after years of sacrifice is heartbreaking and difficult to imagine.
“A mother will carry a child for 9 months, take care of the child, feed the child, send the child to school and at the £nd of the day the child d0esn’t retvrn back to you, one will run m@d,” she said.
Jarvis added that the worsening security situation has made her fearful about motherhood in the future. She stressed that Children’s Day should be a time of joy for families, not fear and sadness.
She also urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and relevant authorities to take swift action against kidnapping, insecurity, and the increasing cases of missing children in Nigeria.
