Skit maker Kiekie has said there are some skit makers she simply can not collaborate with, and for her, it all comes down to the image she has built for herself.
During an interview, she was asked if there was any type of skit maker she would never work with.
She replied:
“I would never collaborate with any skit maker that is too vulgar. I will not be able to collaborate with them.”
The interviewer then asked her to mention some of the skit makers. But, rather than mention anyone, Kiekie said she couldn’t think of a specific person in question.
She said;
“Let me think about it. Hmmm. I don’t have a name of one but I have seen quite a number of them. So if you’re too much breasts, bumbum, not that I have a problem with it but it’s just brand alignment.
My inability to collaborate with you doesn’t mean that I look down on what you do or I don’t respect what you do or I don’t see your hard work. I recognize your hard work but we just don’t align. It will affect the way my own brands are approaching my own work.”
For Kiekie, it isn’t about judging another creator’s content or questioning the work they put in. She made it clear that everyone has their own style, but when it comes to collaborations, she prefers to work with people whose content fits the direction of her brand and the expectations of the companies she represents.
