Former Emir of Kano’s daughter, Shahida, has also tackled Kiekie suggesting it’s a man’s responsibility to pay house rent.
Recall Nollywood actress, Peggy Ovire, yesterday also called out the skit maker over same issue.
According to Shahida, even if a woman earns more than her husband, it is still the responsibility of the man, to pay the rent that houses the FAMILY!
Shahida, a mom of three, however gave a BUT, and said, because of hard times currently facing Nigerians, a woman can however help with a part of the rent, but never a woman’s right to pay the family’s house rent, praying God forbids it.
Recall Kiekie during a chat with Toke Makinwa had said it doesn’t make sense to live in a house with a man without also paying part of the rent.
She told Toke; “How will you be living in the house and not paying rent? For me, it does not make sense. So that when we fight, we will share everything equally. You cannot tell me to get out of my house. We are living together.”
Reacting to Kiekie on her insta-story, Shahida wrote: Nope. God forbid bad thing. Ok but seriously times are hard. If you have the means and your husband is trying of course, chip in. But if he can afford to abeg it’s his responsibility even if you have money. Anyway….Alhamdulillah,”
