Kim Kardashian shared a melancholic post on social media Saturday, reflecting on the bittersweet aspects of motherhood.
The 44-year-old influencer, known for her admiration of Emily Austen’s book ‘Smarter: 10 Lessons for a More Productive and Less-stressed Life’, posted an emotional quote in her Instagram Stories, reading, “The sad part about motherhood is that you’re raising the one person you can’t live without… to be able to live without you.”
Kardashian did not attribute the quote to anyone.
As a single mother of four children—North, 11, Saint, 8, Chicago, 6, and Psalm, 5—whom she shares with ex-husband Kanye West, Kardashian’s post seemed to reflect the challenges she faces.
A source recently revealed that Kanye “is sadly not around very much” for their children, leaving Kim to manage most of the parenting on her own.
“Although she has help, it’s still a lot of work for her to balance and coordinate everything,” the source said.
The insider added, “Kim’s life is around her kids’ schedules. When they are in school, she works. When they are off, she’s very much focused on being a mom.”
The source also mentioned that Kim is not currently dating anyone, as her focus remains on her children and her career.
