At a grand diplomatic reception at Buckingham Palace, Queen Camilla made her first appearance wearing the late Queen Elizabeth II’s aquamarine and diamond tiara.
The white-tie event was attended by King Charles and Prince William, though Princess Catherine was notably absent.
Camilla wore a blue velvet evening dress designed by Fiona Clare, complemented by the delicate aquamarine ribbon tiara, which features five large aquamarines set in diamond ribbons.
She paired the tiara with matching aquamarine and diamond jewelry from her personal collection, and wore King Charles’ new ‘family order‘ – a symbolic portrait of the monarch painted on poly instead of traditional ivory.
Prince William appeared in formal court dress with knee breeches, displaying various honors including the Order of the Bath, Jubilee medals, the Order of the Garter Sash, and several chest orders.
This marks Queen Camilla’s first public appearance since the palace announced the passing of her rescue dog Beth.
While still recovering from a chest infection, she may attend only part of the event.
Princess Catherine, who completed chemotherapy treatment in summer and is gradually resuming public duties following her cancer treatment, is focusing her attention on preparing for her annual Christmas carol concert at Westminster Abbey, scheduled for early next month.
The reception hosted approximately 900 guests from the Diplomatic Corps.
