The King appeared upbeat as he arrived alone at the Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance, held at the Royal Albert Hall.
The Queen, following medical advice, did not attend due to a lingering chest infection.
Wearing an elegant black suit and several medals, the King was warmly welcomed and seemed in good spirits despite his wife’s absence.

A Palace spokesperson explained earlier that the Queen, on doctors’ guidance, is prioritizing her recovery and minimizing any risk to others by resting at home.
While she is disappointed to miss the event, she plans to mark the occasion privately and aims to resume public duties next week.
The Palace assured the public that there is no cause for concern regarding her health.
