Kingmakers Crown New Ikorodu King Despite Court Order, As Lagos Speaker Congratulates King

Lol, is it that the Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly,
Hon. Mudashiru Obasa is not aware that a court on Thursday had asked that the
new king of Ikorodu should not be crowned until the court decides after Mr Odupitan
Eniola from the Lambo branch of the Lasunwon chieftaincy family of Ikorodu
kingdom filed a lawsuit that the new king who was crowned today should not
present himself for coronation because he is not ‘qualified’? So why did he congratulate
him and say the state will support him during his reign? Is he in support that
laws should not be obeyed? lol or may be he isn’t just aware.
Well a court gave an order on Thursday stopping the man who
was crowded the new king of Ikorodu today, Kabiru Shotobi from “presenting himself for coronation” or
“parading himself as the Ayangburen of Ikorodu, or actualising any recognition
thereon as such or exercising any of the Ayangburen royal functions, pending the
determination of a suit filed by Odupitan Eniola, in the interest of justice.

Anyway, the kingmakers went ahead to crown the new king
despite the court order an dhad heavy police presence.  A lot of other security agents were also fully
present. NAN said the commissioner of police was also there to ensure there was
peace in the land. So who are we not to wish the oba well. Ki ade pe lo ri sir.
