Afrobeats star Kizz Daniel has officially regained ownership of his debut album New Era and the hit singles “Yeba” and “Sofa,” marking a major victory in his long-standing battle with former record label G-Worldwide
The singer announced the news on Twitter, expressing deep gratitude and reflecting on the difficult journey it took to reclaim his music:

Released in 2016 under G-Worldwide, New Era featured hits like “Woju,” “Laye,” and “Mama,” and played a pivotal role in establishing Kizz Daniel as one of Nigeria’s most promising acts.
However, disputes with the label over contract terms and ownership led to years of legal wrangling and tension, eventually prompting the singer to exit the label and launch his own imprint, Flyboy Inc.
By reclaiming the masters to New Era, Kizz Daniel now has full control over the creative and commercial rights to the album and related singles, meaning he will directly benefit from any future use, licensing, or revenue generated by the tracks.
The move is being celebrated by fans and industry peers alike as a landmark moment for artist empowerment in Nigeria’s music scene.
