Enugu State-owned commercial airline, Enugu Air, which began operations on Monday, July 7, has drawn widespread attention online after a passenger was forcibly removed from one of its flights

A video shared on social media shows airline staff dragging a male passenger off the plane. In the footage, a voice can be heard saying, “Yes, yes, go down,” suggesting that some onlookers appeared to support the action.

The reason for the incident remains unclear. The passenger has not been identified, and neither Enugu Air nor the individual involved has issued a statement explaining what happened.

The aircraft, prominently displaying the Enugu Air logo, was filmed as the passenger was escorted away amid visible commotion.

The episode comes amid a series of high-profile airline disputes in Nigeria, including Comfort Emmanson’s confrontation with flight attendants on an Ibom Air flight from Uyo to Lagos and a reported dispute involving musician King Wasiu Ayinde, also known as KWAM 1 or K1 De Ultimate, with ValueJet Airlines at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.

Online observers have drawn parallels between these incidents, raising concerns about passenger–airline interactions on domestic flights in Nigeria.
