Kylie Jenner and Jordyn Woods‘ public reunion in July 2023 shocked fans as the former BFFs had finally come back together after four years — but it turns out they were never that far apart to begin with
Jenner, 27, said she and Woods, 27, never had a “full cold-turkey cutoff” in terms of their communication in the aftermath of Woods’ cheating scandal with Khloé Kardashian’s then-boyfriend Tristan Thompson.
“I was heartbroken,” Jenner told ELLE in the November cover story of the initial scandal. “To lose that person felt really lonely, but I had to go through that. I learned so much, gained so much independence, and was there for myself. It helped me grow up a little bit, because we were so attached at the hip.”
Looking back, she said “it was needed distance” for the pair.
“I think that in order for us both to grow, she needed to spread her wings and do what she needed to do as well.”
Still, she admitted they’ve “always tried to talk through things” even when their public-facing friendship appeared to be over.
“Anytime something happened, good or bad, and I needed to call someone, it would always be her,” Jenner revealed.
Since they were spotted out for dinner together in Los Angeles in July 2023, Jenner and Woods have reunited several times, including in September 2023 at a New York Fashion Week dinner and in January at a Paris Fashion Week event.
