A yet-to-be-identified young woman was discovered de.ad with st*b wounds behind the fence of a university located in the Mubi Local Government Area of Adamawa State
Punch Metro learnt on Thursday that residents of the community discovered the corpse on Tuesday and promptly alerted the police.
A counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, who shared details of the incident on X (formerly Twitter), disclosed that the residents had alerted the police, prompting a team to visit the scene.
According to him, the Divisional Police Officer led a team to the location and recovered the body before depositing it at a mortuary.
Makama wrote, “A distress call was received by the Divisional Police Officer of Mubi North at about 12:00 p.m. on October 21, reporting that an unidentified female corpse was found behind the Adamawa State University fence with multiple st*b wounds.
“On receipt of the report, the DPO led a team of detectives to the scene, took photographs, and evacuated the corpse to the Federal Medical Centre, Mubi, for autopsy,” the source was quoted as saying.
He noted that further police investigation led to the arrest of two suspects in connection with the incident.
