Suspected members of the Eiye Confraternity have gruesomely murd3red a man believed to be a member of a rival cult group in the Alaba area of Lagos State
Punch Metro reports that the k!lling was the latest in a series of cult-related attacks that have claimed multiple lives across the state in recent weeks.
A video obtained from the Telegram channel of Naija Confra on Sunday showed the victim, later identified only as Hope, sitting on the floor during an interrogation by the suspected cultists.
In the footage, the visibly terrified man introduced himself, saying, “My name is Hope. I live on Abanise Street.”
A second, shorter clip, less than 25 seconds long, showed a bloodied Hope lying motionless on the floor, with deep machete cuts to his neck and face.
The caption accompanying the footage read in part, “We received a video showing Eiye cultists interrogating a man they later k!lled.”
The k!lling sparked outrage on social media, with many users expressing shock over the victim’s death.
