Lagos Police PRO, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, has criticized upcoming singer Ayo Maff over the lyrics of his latest song, “Last Week”
The police command deemed the lyrics “indecent” and expressed concerns about the singer’s apparent glorification of drug use.
In the song, Ayo Maff boasts about using a strong, imported cannabis strain on Mondays and running out of it by Saturdays.
SP Hundeyin responded to a widely shared clip of the song, highlighting the potential consequences of drug abuse, including criminal behavior and imprisonment.
He emphasized that many young people in prison today might not be there if they hadn’t engaged in drug use.
He does what on Mondays and Saturdays? Help me listen.
Like Asa said, there is fire on the mountain and nobody seems to be on the run…
Fact: Half of the young ones in prison today wouldn’t be there if they didn’t do drugs. Drugs is a precursor to everything bad.
