The Lagos State Government, on Wednesday, sealed 15 buildings over lack of planning permits.
The government made this known via its Twitter handle.
The buildings affected are located in Bourdillion, Onikoyi, and Banana Island.
The state Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Dr. Idris Salaka, warned builders to desist from commencing construction without first “obtaining a Planning Permit from the Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Authority”.
Salako said “every developer must also approach LASBCA for stage certification of their projects to ensure that their buildings are safe, complete and habitable”.
He further stated that “anything short of this will be illegal and unacceptable.”
