The Lagos State Government has shut down Donald’s Fast Food, a restaurant in Lekki owned by popular socialite Cubana Chief Priest, over allegations of illegal waste disposal
The closure was disclosed by the state’s Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, through a post on his X (formerly Twitter) handle.
Wahab explained that the enforcement followed a tip-off from the Chairman of the Lekki Estate Residents Association (LERA), who reported unauthorized dumping of refuse on Durosimi-Etti Street in Lekki Phase 1 on Saturday, May 18, 2025.
According to the commissioner, a white Ford van with Abuja license plates (GWA 136E) was caught dumping waste at the location. Investigations later linked the vehicle to Donald restaurant, located on Road 14 in Lekki.
The culprits were apprehended at the scene by the estate’s Chief Security Officer and handed over to LERA’s authorities. Wahab further revealed that the suspects offered a ₦100,000 bribe in an attempt to avoid consequences, but the offer was rejected.
This is not the first time Donald’s Fast Food has faced regulatory action. The establishment was previously sealed in September 2024 for violations including noise pollution and other environmental offenses.
He said: “In the early hours of Saturday, 18th May 2025, the Chairman of the Lekki Estate Residents Association (@Lekkiphase1_ ) alerted us to an incident involving the illegal dumping of refuse along Durosimi-Etti Street in Lekki Phase 1.

The vehicle was traced to DONALD restaurant, a nightlife establishment located on Road 14 within the estate.
The suspects were apprehended on the scene by LERA’s Chief Security Officer and taken into custody at the LERA Secretariat. It was reported that the individuals attempted to bribe the security team with ₦100,000—an offer that was firmly declined.”
