Actress Laide Bakare has taken a swipe at her former friend and colleague, Eniola Badmus, while speaking about their strained relationship during an appearance on the Chude Jideonwo podcast.
When asked about her fallout with Eniola, Laide did not hold back, making a pointed comment about the actress’s appearance and weight loss.
She said:
“Take off the makeup and filters, she is not fine, even after losing weight, everything is still the samething”.
Laide Bakare and Eniola Badmus’ fallout dates back to March 2024, when Eniola mocked Laide’s outfit at her book launch. Their disagreement later became more personal, with both actresses exchanging accusations.
In April 2025, they had another awkward encounter at the premiere of Owambe Thieves in Lagos, where Eniola reportedly told Laide, “Don’t film us together, we’re not friends.”
The disagreement resurfaced in October 2026 after Eniola reacted dismissively when Laide’s name came up during an appearance on Isbae U’s Curiosity Made Me Ask podcast. Eniola later apologised for her reaction, but Laide dismissed the apology.
