The widower of late gospel singer Kefee, has lost his new wife, Lara Kudayisi Don-Momoh, just weeks after they welcomed their first child together
The sad news was confirmed by Lara’s family in a statement posted on her official Instagram page on Monday. According to the statement, she passed away peacefully after a brief illness.
The statement read:
“It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, Lara Kudayisi Don-Momoh.
After a brief illness, Coach Lara passed away peacefully.”
The family requested privacy as they grieve and appealed to the public to remember Lara in their prayers while also praying for strength for those she left behind.
They said:
“During this deeply painful time, we humbly ask for privacy and prayers for the peaceful repose of her soul, and for all who mourn this immeasurable loss.”
The family added that information regarding her funeral and other related arrangements would be released at a later date.
“Further details regarding the funeral arrangements and other family matters will be communicated in due course.”
Lara’s passing comes less than two weeks after she and Teddy Don-Momoh celebrated the arrival of their first child, a joyful occasion that had attracted warm wishes from loved ones and supporters.
