Reality TV personality Leo DaSilva has strongly defended his wife, Maryam Laushi after a social media user attempted to downplay her success and claim she is only “relevant” because of him
The back-and-forth started on Friday when an X user, Neyenwa, tried to mock Maryam’s accomplishments.
Maryam fired back, dismissing the insult and making it clear she has her own wealth and background, saying her finances stand solid and her husband’s status is not up for comparison. She also warned the troll to stop dragging her family into the matter.
The troll escalated the attack, insisting that Maryam’s influence comes from Leo and accusing her of pretending to be a champion for women.
Leo then waded in sharply, shutting down the narrative and praising Maryam’s achievements. He stressed that she has always been an accomplished woman long before their relationship, noting.
He went on to describe her as someone who has excelled in civil, corporate, and family spaces, emphasizing that even his online profile doesn’t match the weight of her résumé. Ending his response with a blunt warning to the troll, Leo made it clear he would not tolerate anyone diminishing his future wife’s accomplishments.
Leo Da Silva wrote: “You’re actually dangerously insane trying to belittle my wife. She has 2 masters degree! She will be employed till she chooses not to be! She always had her own voice even before she got married to me! She was already working when I met her. She is more than enough for me.”
He added: “My Google results are not as impressive as my wife’s own. She has put in a lot of work in the civil space, corporate space and family space. Na all rounder. I am always proud of her and her work. We are grateful to God for his blessings. If you are jealous, Ogun go k!ll you.”
