Liam Payne, the former One Direction star, will be laid to rest this week in Wolverhampton, over a month after his tragic death.
The 31-year-old passed away from head injuries sustained after falling from the balcony of his third-floor hotel suite in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
His grieving father, Geoff Payne, brought Liam’s remains back to Britain two weeks ago after Argentinian authorities conducted extensive examinations into his death.
Payne had traveled to Argentina in September with his close friend and business associate Rogelio “Roger” Nores, reportedly to renew his U.S. visa and attend a concert by former bandmate Niall Horan.

Roger, 31, visited Payne at the CasaSur hotel three times in the hours before the fatal incident.
Despite their close bond, reports state that Roger will not be attending the funeral.
A source shared that the Payne family wishes for the service to proceed smoothly and believes his presence could create tension.
The source added, “He has never been popular with Liam’s wider circle.”
