Liam Payne’s parents, Geoff and Karen, embraced a grieving Simon Cowell outside the church following their son’s funeral yesterday.
The emotional moment came after a service honoring Payne, who tragically passed away at the age of 31.
Cowell, 65, who was instrumental in launching Payne’s career with One Direction on The X Factor in 2010, offered comfort to the couple.
A floral tribute spelling out “son” was placed beside Payne’s coffin as a final farewell.
Payne’s former One Direction bandmates—Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson—attended the service, along with Girls Aloud star Cheryl Tweedy, who dated Payne from 2016 to 2018.
