Chicago-born rapper Lil Durk is facing an additional legal hurdle, as authorities investigate his alleged connection to a 2022 m3rder case
Documents obtained by the Chicago Tribune reveal that Durk is suspected of orchestrating the fatal shooting of Stephon Mack, a purported gang leader, as an act of revenge against the Gangster Disciples street gang.
The investigation suggests that Durk offered financial incentives to individuals willing to target members of the gang, which he believes was responsible for the mu3rder of his brother, Dontay Banks, in 2021. Although Durk has not been formally charged in the Mack murder investigation, this development exacerbates his existing legal woes.
In a separate incident, Durk was arrested in October and charged with conspiracy, murder-for-hire, and firearms offenses related to an alleged plot involving fellow rapper Quando Rondo. Durk has maintained his innocence, pleading not guilty to the federal charges. As the investigations and legal proceedings unfold, Lil Durk’s career hangs in the balance, threatened by the mounting allegations and potential consequences.
