Liverpool FC has reached an agreement with Juventus to sign Italian forward Federico Chiesa for a transfer fee of £12.5 million
The deal includes an initial payment of £10 million and £2.5 million in performance-based add-ons.
Chiesa, 26, will receive a four-year contract at Anfield.
He expressed his excitement about the move, thanking Juventus fans for their support and stating that he and his family are eager to start this new chapter.
Liverpool outbid competition from Barcelona, who faced wage bill constraints, and Saudi Arabian clubs to secure Chiesa’s signature.
Chiesa joined Juventus permanently in 2022, making 98 appearances and scoring 21 goals.
His transfer marks the second signing under new Liverpool head coach Arne Slot, following the agreed deal for Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili.
