He’s arguably one of England’s greatest full backs, but there was no defending Kyle Walker‘s antics during a night out in Manchester on Saturday
Better used to catching wingers offside, Walker found himself caught short after leaving a busy cocktail bar with two friends.
But instead of making his way back inside to the sanctuary of the men’s room, the Manchester City and England right back, 34, relieved himself against the nearest wall.
And he appeared to be in good company, with a friend following suit as they left the Dear Sailor bar shortly after 11:30pm, hours after Manchester City’s 1-1 draw with Premier League rivals Newcastle United at St. James’ Park.
Manchester City Council’s Public Spaces Protection Order 2023 prohibits urinating in public in a restricted area, with culprits expected to be fined as much as £150 if caught.
Walker, who earns an average £160,000 per week with Pep Guardiola’s high-flying side, appeared nonplussed as he emptied his bladder before making his way towards a waiting car.
The footballer had been enjoying a night out at popular Spinningfields Square venue Dear Sailor, which describes itself as a ‘clandestine cocktail bar inspired by the speakeasies and jazz clubs of 1930s Tokyo.’
It’s not the first time the England international has been caught short in public, having previously stunned onlookers by relieving himself against the wall of a £260-a-night hotel in broad daylight.
