An Asaba Magistrates’ Court in Delta today sentenced
31-year-old Anthony Uwaka to 12 months imprisonment for stealing bolts and
nuts.

The prosecutor, Joseph Ukwebele, told the court that Uwaka
committed the offence on Jan. 26, 2015, at an uncompleted building at Location
151, along the Asaba-Ibusa Expressway. He said the convict stole more than 500
pieces of bolts and nuts valued at N614, 000, belonging to one Mustapha Jafaru.

The Magistrate, Akanume Okonkwo, then sentenced Uwaka to 12
months imprisonment after he pleaded guilty to the charge.
