A man has committed suicide by jumping into the Lagoon from Third Mainland Bridge.
The incident occurred on Saturday, 15 February, 2020.
The identity of the man is unknown.
According to the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, the man jumped off the Third Mainland Bridge and plunged into the Lagoon.
“LASEMA ‘Seafarers Rescue Team’ of the Marine Unit in fervent search for the suicide victim who jumped off the Third Mainland bridge. Saturday 15th February, 2020,” Nosa Okunbor, LASEMA’s spokesperson said.
Suicide is now rampant in Lagos, with scores of people committing suicide in the last three years.
