Manchester United is on the brink of securing the transfer of Paris Saint-Germain’s defensive midfielder Manuel Ugarte, with the Uruguay international set to undergo a medical and sign the necessary paperwork in the coming hours

The deal, reportedly worth €50m plus €10m in add-ons, has been in the works since the transfer window opened and is finally nearing completion.
Ugarte has long been keen on joining United and has already agreed to personal terms.
The transfer is part of a larger deal involving Napoli, who are interested in signing Scott McTominay from United for a fee of around €30.5 million.
Once McTominay’s exit terms are finalized, the Ugarte transfer is expected to be completed, with the three clubs working together to finalize the details.
