Mauro Icardi says he has won a major legal victory in his ongoing divorce battle with Wanda Nara after an Italian court dismissed an appeal over her financial demands
The former Galatasaray striker, who filed for divorce two years ago, revealed that his ex-wife had sought €250,000 per month in spousal support, €65,000 monthly for each of their two daughters, and an additional €100,000 per month in divorce compensation.
According to Icardi, the court rejected those requests on June 1, 2026, and has now ruled that Nara’s appeal is invalid, leaving only the formal divorce decree to be issued.
Sharing the update on Instagram, Icardi wrote: “Good morning Milan. Everything is fine here, there is a new decision. In my divorce case, 250 thousand euros per month for my ex-wife, 65 thousand euros for each of my daughters, and 100 thousand euros per month as divorce compensation were demanded from me. The judge rejected this insanity on June 1, 2026. The dissatisfied party, trying to get my money, appealed this decision. Today, July 27, 2026, the Italian Court’s decision was very clear: APPEAL INVALID. Thus, all demands and application avenues are closed. Only the announcement of the official divorce decision remains. The functioning of the Italian justice system is wonderful. Yet, in 2024, they called me ‘crazy’ for starting the entire judicial process in Italy.”
Wanda Nara later reacted on social media after an Italian judge declined to award her immediate financial compensation. She argued that any financial settlement must wait until the divorce is officially finalized and took aim at Icardi on Instagram, telling him to “get a job.”
She also accused him of putting their two teenage daughters through unnecessary hardship, claiming the situation resulted in them losing their passports before returning to school in Argentina.
