Kylian Mbappe has etched his name into World Cup history by becoming tournament’s highest goal scorer
The France captain scored twice in the second half to become the competition’s all-time leading goalscorer with 22 goals, overtaking Lionel Messi in the process.

England were in complete control before the break, with Bukayo Saka netting twice as the Three Lions stormed to a 4-0 halftime lead.
Mbappe began France’s fightback by scoring in the 48th minute, a goal that also saw him move ahead of Messi in the race for the tournament’s Golden Boot. Bradley Barcola then reduced the deficit further after finishing a pass from Mbappe to make it 4-2.
Mbappe struck again in the 66th minute to complete his brace and keep France’s hopes alive.
