The National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, visited the NURTW National Secretariat on Tuesday following Monday’s failed attempt by Tajudeen Baruwa to take over the office
A video obtained by our correspondent and circulating online shows security personnel stationed both inside and around the secretariat. The footage also captures damage to several offices and the destruction of property during Monday’s unrest.

Earlier reports by DAILY POST stated that Baruwa and six of his supporters were arrested by operatives of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command over the attempted takeover. The FCT Police explained that Baruwa’s group “were attempting to enforce a court order on the premises without the presence of court sheriffs and other officials.”
Addressing the events on Tuesday, MC Oluomo denied being a defendant in the contested judgment, noting that the ruling had been appealed and a stay of execution had been properly filed.
