Meghan Markle has finally addressed the viral clip she shared of herself twerking while in labour with her daughter, Princess Lilibet
The Duchess of Sussex, 43, shared intimate footage of herself performing the TikTok ‘baby mama’ dance with her husband Prince Harry earlier this month to her Instagram account.
Nearly two weeks later, and she’s now finally addressed the clip in an upcoming podcast with Dragons’ Den star Emma Grede, preaching she can finally ‘share her authentic life’ on ‘her own terms’.
Speaking to Emma in a sneak peak of her Aspire Podcast due to be released on Tuesday, Meghan, dressed in a smart navy blazer, said: ‘You have to be authentic. Did you see my “Baby Momma” dance? That was four years ago.
‘So it’s also a really great reminder that with all the noise or whatever people do, there’s still a whole life – a real, authentic, fun life – that’s happening behind the scenes.
‘I’m just grateful that now, being back on social as well, I have a place where I can share it on my own terms.’
The Duchess of Sussex had shared the throwback clip on her Instagram to mark her Lili’s fourth birthday saying ‘there was only one thing left to do’ when the princess was a week past her due date.
A heavily pregnant Meghan then started twerking in front of a hospital bed before she gyrated around the room.
‘Four years ago today, this also happened. Both of our children were a week past their due dates… so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn’t work – there was only one thing left to do!,’ Meghan wrote on her Instagram account at the time.
