Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will jet off to Nigeria soon for discussions on the Invictus Games. With Meghan’s Nigerian ancestry, experts predict she’s eager to explore her roots on the trip.
During their visit in May, the royal couple will dive into cultural activities and meet with service members and their families. Meghan’s interest in Nigeria spiked after discovering she’s 43% Nigerian through a DNA test a couple of years ago.
While the specific Nigerian ethnic group remains a mystery, Meghan is determined to uncover more about her heritage. Ingrid Seward, a royal author, suggests their trip might also align with their Netflix projects, as the couple recently signed an £80 million deal with the streaming giant.

Meghan’s cooking show, linked to her new venture, American Riviera Orchard, will highlight the joy of cooking and gardening, while Harry’s polo show is set at the US Open Polo Championship.
