The Duchess of Sussex has been wearing a necklace with a sentimental message as she and Prince Harry carry out their final royal engagements.
Meghan Markle was pictured sporting the dainty gold pendant at an event at the National Theatre in London on Thursday.
Made by designer Sophie Lis, it quotes an ode from the 19th century French poet Rosemonde Gérard which translates to: “Every day I love you more, more than yesterday less than tomorrow.”
The medallion carries the engraving “Qu’hier” after a diamond encrusted plus sign, and “Que Demain” followed by a ruby minus sign.
The Duchess was seen wearing it while at the National Theatre to visit their latest exhibition, the new Immersive Storytelling Studio.
Lis shared a photo of Meghan wearing the piece, titled the ‘Love Pendant’, on Instagram , where she revealed that it borrows a line from the poem “The Eternal Song”.
She said she was “honoured to see the stunning Duchess” in it.
It is not clear if the pendant was a gift to Meghan from Harry or not.
The Duchess of Sussex is on her first visit back to the UK after the couple announced they would be stepping back as senior royals in January.
