Michael Jackson’s publicist to make mystery announcement about the star’s legacy

Michael Jackson ‘s former publicist has said she’ll soon make a “major announcement” about the late star’s legacy.

Raymone Bain, who used to represent the singer, has released a bizarre statement saying she’ll hold a press conference to deal with a mandate made by him three years before his death.

Bain, who was Jackson’s media spokesperson throughout his 2005 child sexual abuse trial, in which he was acquitted on all counts, told the Daily Star that she’s planning to hold a press conference to make “a major announcement regarding Michael Jackson and his legacy… in conjunction with a mandate made by him on October 6, 2006”.

It’s not known what the “mandate” refers to, but her announcement comes just a few months after controversial documentary Leaving Neverland aired on Channel 4.

The much-discussed documentary featured interviews from two former child companions of Jackson – Wade Robson and James Safechuck – who both claimed the singer had sexually abused them.

The Jackson family have furiously denied the claims made in the film.

    Michael died in June 2009.
