Super Falcons defender Michelle Alozie has temporarily deactivated her Instagram account as Nigerians continue to drag her and other members of the team following Nigeria’s failure to qualify for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The setback has been a painful one for the Super Falcons, with the players facing criticism after the disappointing result.
Michelle, like the rest of the team, had been working to help Nigeria secure a place at the tournament, but the failure to qualify has brought intense criticism from some Nigerians and fans.
Her decision to step away from Instagram gives her some space from the noise surrounding the team.
Whatever the disappointment, the players have already given their time and effort to the national team, and the setback does not erase the work they put in for Nigeria.
