In a recent social media post, Bamiloye shared a video in which Trump spoke about his commitment to upholding moral values and expressed his reverence for Jesus Christ. Bamiloye expressed frustration with Christians who, in his view, appear uncertain about supporting a leader he sees as aligning with Christian principles.

Bamiloye pointed out that Trump’s party promotes values he believes reflect Christian beliefs, contrasting this with what he described as the opposition’s support for policies such as abortion rights, same-sex marriage, and gender identity discussions in schools. “What is confusing in the options?” he questioned, implying that the decision for Christians should be clear.

Responding to the video, he added, “I Seriously Love This!” and mentioned his surprise that some believers were skeptical of Trump’s Christian values. “Before the recent election, I was so shocked that some Christians were confused about Donald Trump,” he wrote, expressing bewilderment over the lack of unity.

Trump, who won a major political comeback by defeating Kamala Harris, has continued to inspire debate among Christians worldwide, with some questioning the sincerity of his faith-based messages, speculating they may be enhanced by AI or other means. In the video shared by Bamiloye, Trump stated, “Our country needs a savior, and our country has a savior, and that’s not me. There is someone much higher than me, and that is Jesus.”

The post has generated widespread reactions, as Christians worldwide discuss the intersections of faith, values, and politics in today’s society. Nigerian Christian figures have also commented on Bamiloye’s stance.

Lekan Awe, for example, responded critically: “He should go further by following through. God hates hatred, but Donald Trump has shown hatred towards Africa. Preaching Jesus while harboring hatred towards a continent is unholy.”

Conversely, Jacob Aderounmu celebrated the result, saying, “This is a victory over darkness. To God be all the glory. Up Jesus, Up Trump.”

Ikechukwu Eric Anosie expressed strong support, asserting, “Any pastor not supporting Trump is selfish and only concerned with their own access to America, not with what Christianity represents worldwide.”

In a broader critique, Nina-Sylva Mma Stephen commented, “In Nigeria, due to tribal or other sentiments, many men of God refused to stand clearly for the choice that would promote Christ, good morals for our children, and progress for our country. I hope we are satisfied with the result of our silence.”
